Pasteplatzer is a photographic wheat paste street art collective of Toronto-Hamilton artists Danielle Goshay and Jeremy Lynch focused on building public spaces for neighbours to connect through art. Wheatpasting provides artists the opportunity to reach a larger and more diverse audience than could ever be achieved within the traditional gallery setting outside of the established art institutions' context of being the “gatekeepers” to culture and art. Street art allows for creative freedom and artistic integrity to flourish by breaking down the class barriers to access. Pasteplatzer champions and celebrates wheat paste as an artistic process, idea, and movement by organizing/installing unsanctioned exhibitions and hosting workshops for anyone learning about the medium in pursuit of evolving public art.
